East Cornwall Harriers is a very friendly club which welcomes runners of all abilities. The club has the following weekly sessions, which all go from Liskeard Sports and Social Club, Lux Park Sports Centre, Liskeard, unless otherwise stated.

Harriers Race Report & MTRS series Results.

ECH Race Report 21st July 2019

Last week the 2018- 2019 MTRS Grand Prix series finished with the final race at Boconnoc.

Another excellent season for the #Harriers. In the MV 40 age category Darren Harvey finished 1s t, Male Vet 45 a brilliant 2nd for Chris Ullman. MV50 – outstanding running from Mike Egginton to finish 4th. The men's team was 4th overall.

For the ladies FV under 35 Helen Morse 3rd. FV over 35 Amy Williams 2nd. FV 50 Liz Egginton excellent 3rd. FV 55 Revis Crowle a superb 1 st and also 3rd Lady overall . Our Ladies team were 1st overall retaining their title from last year. Superb consistent running.

Thursday was the annual Tavy Relays for teams of 4 over a fast 1.1 mile route around the Meadows park in Tavistock. An excellent turnout of 34 harriers including 4 of our Year 9/10 Juniors who ran superbly well. Will Birch, Finley Soady, Issy Thomas and Byron Patrick completed the 4.4 miles in only 26m 26 secs to be 5th in their age group.

Our Team Chattaway of Ian Trice, Darren Harvey, Doug Stacey and Chris Ullman finished in 23m 22s and were 2nd in their age category. Senior Club Men, Team Bannister, Ben Harding, Marcus Wills, Liam Gallantry and Arron Crowle and Cadan Crowle finished in 23.32 just 10 secs behind their team mates.. Senior Club Men team Landy, Craig Vaugnley, Alex Coley Steve Beazley and Jon Sudell clocked 29 m 6 secs just ahead of Vet. Male Team Brasher, Craig Jamieson, Simon Coley, Jon Hoare and Glenn Wood in 29m 34 s.

For the ladies Team Budd Revis Crowle, Jenny Nash, Sharon Daw and Hayley Stacey clocked 27m 6 secs for 4th overall and 1st in age group. Team Leather of Kaye Patterson, Dani Brace, Lyndsey Saunders and Aimee Turpee finished in 9th overall in 28m 4 secs..

Team Wade , Vet Women of Nikki Pritchard, Hayley Marriot , Revis Crowle and Jenny Nash finished 5th in their age category in 29m 59 secs. Team Muir of Natasha Duffy, Leza Wall, Sarah Steed and Rhian Moxham finished in 33m 2 secs.

A really excellent night of Club Competition and support.

Saturday 20 July 2019 was the Magnificent 7 Road Race hosted by Tamar Trotters – round 9 of the Cornwall Road Running Grand Prix. The race is very Hilly starting and finishing at Saltash Rugby Club.

First Harrier home was Arron Crowle in 48m38 sec a new PB. Chris Ullman was 2nd Harrier in 49.29 a Season Best for him. Matt Davies was 3rd Harrier with a new PB of 49.48, Shane Caughley 51.34 a PB for him as well. Chris Nottle 51.35 just 1 sec behind and 4 seconds ahead of ladies Team captain Kaye Patterson in 51.39 a PB for Kaye as well. Joe Kearns 52.05 was next just pipping Paul Arrowsmith 53m 35s.who posted a Season Best time.. Simon Webber also with SB of 54.39 was next. Liam Gallantry 63.06. just headed Jon Sudell 64.49. Paul Kelsey a new PB in 66.24 and Lucy Oldham a Season best of 67.24, Ray Goodright also had a Season Best finish in 70m 16 s. Samantha Hunkin a season best in 73.19 and Sandra Haynes alos a season best 75m 59 sec. A great night of running for the Harriers with so many PBs and SBs on this extremely testing relentess. course
