C25K Parkrun

Encouraging our new recruits to keep up the good work a group from the recently graduated couch to 5k decided to join some of our more seasoned runners at the Eden Project Parkrun on Saturday. It wasn’t about running around as a group nor was it a race but just another great way to keep the interest going and there was the reward of cake and coffee in the café afterwards. Special mentions to Gavin Cole, Emma Lewis and Karla Aram who only started running in January.

THE GRANITE WAY

This event saw three Harriers competing on the Sunday race in a field of 59 runners on the 20 mile course organised by Exeter City Community Trust.

The Granite Way run takes you along the Granite Way footpath and cycleway through Devon with fantastic views of Dartmoor and the surrounding countryside.

Cheryl Hanns was the first Harrier back in 20th place overall, in a time of 2:44:51, closely followed by Chris Ullman in 2:45:38, with Craig Vaughnley making up the trio in 3:07:48

Cheryl was the second female home and received a nice trophy for her superb effort.

TAVISTOCK 13

Sharon Daw was the only Harrier to make the individual prize list in her age group at this race as the first Female in a great time of 1:44:47
