Dartmoor Discovery 32 Mile Ultra Marathon

Well done to Ross Portass who finished a very impressive 6th overall in this race. Diane Roy in 30th and Patrick Munn in 31st with both being first in their age categories. Diane being 4th lady overall.

David Philp came in 36th and 2nd in his age category, all the more impressive as he was struggling with cramp over the last 5 miles

Sharon Daw was also impressive finishing 40th overall, 5th lady and 2nd in her age category

Cheryl Hanns made up the ladies team, coming in as the 11th lady and securing a 1st placed ladies team for the event.

Matthew Loughrey-Robinson completed our very impressive list of runners in this tough event described by the organisers:-

The Dartmoor Discovery, or DD as it’s affectionately known, has gained somewhat of a cult status on the running circuit and is one of those races that runners have to have on their CV.

The 32-mile course takes you up and down some of the toughest hills that Dartmoor has to offer.

UK Ultimate Triathlon

Respect to Dave Hannah and Marc Doyle who travelled to Shropshire for this gruelling challenge and Daves first triathlon. He was delighted to complete all events in under 12 hours saying that the swim and bike sections went better than he had expected although the second half of the marathon was brutal.

SDW 100 (South Downs Way)

So if the first two reports didn’t impress you how about this one. Mel Moss completed her first 100 miler across the beautiful South Downs Way. Not only did she do this in 22hours dead, she was the 16th lady.

We certainly have some amazing athletes.

Cardinham 10k Summer SeriesPurple Geckho Event

Early start for a Sunday morning but well worth the effort. Hannah Matthews and myself (Ian Savigar) took part in this event with Hannah completing it as the third female in just over 48 mins. I was pretty happy with my 57.26.
