It is now only 1 month until one the most important days in the ECH calendar – the Trepolpen Seythin.
This is our contribution as a club to the Multi-Terrain Race Series, which many of us enjoy participating in.
The day can only be a success if everyone in the club takes their own share of the burden. We will need many helpers on the day down at Seaton, and of course Marshals around the course.
I am therefore appealing to every member of the club confirm to me that they can make themselves available to help out. It will only be for a few hours, the Race starts at 10:30.
The only valid excuse for not doing so is if you are actually running. Even then it is your responsibility to get a friend or relation to do it on your behalf – they will not only be able to support you but also every other runner and your club as a whole.
There are more than 18 locations where Marshals are needed, with many of them needing a few people to work as a team. Why not get a group of friends to do this and have a fun day together.
Similarly, there plenty of tasks at Seaton/the Smugglers for which teams will be needed to help out, such as Registration, the Start/Finish Arch (putting up, moving and packing away), helping with the finish area including handing out goody bags, drinks etc. There will also be a team to handle the setting up the trophies and the presentation.
Please let me know as soon as you can that you are available, with your email and mobile number.
Anyone who hasn’t contacted me within a couple of weeks will get a call from me as a chase up. Remember, it isn’t a chore, it’s a fun and enjoyable way to spend a few hours. The reward will be the thanks from the runners and your club!
Thanks all in advance.
